Embark upon our ultimate journey — to the august City of Light. No one captured the soul of Paris better than Edith Piaf, the "Little Sparrow" whose ecstatic cabaret songs have continued to enthrall her listeners. The romantic yearning builds with Berlioz's sublime and haunting Les nuits d'été, an evocation of lost love and desolation so poignant that the wayfarer only wishes to travel "to the faithful shore where love lasts forever." Lloyd Arriola, who dazzled with his triumphant performance of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue at One World Symphony's sold-out Town Hall Debut in 2006, closes out the season with the subtle fusion of hypnotic impressionism and captivating jazz in the rich and sensual rhythms of Ravel's Piano Concerto. C'est l'amour!
