Celebrate the holiday season with legendary composers Ludwig van Beethoven (1770–1827) and John Lennon (1940–1980). The program explores Beethoven’s deep love for nature and Lennon’s message that peace is available... if you want it.

Beethoven’s passion for nature inspired the creation of his intimate and expansive Pastoral Symphony. He found delight, peace, and spiritual nourishment during his daily strolls through the Viennese woods. One World Symphony, under the direction of composer-conductor Sung Jin Hong, is proud to perform the Pastoral on the same date as its premiere (December 22, 1808).

Continuing One World Symphony’s tradition of fostering active audience participation and in the spirit of worldwide community, John Lennon’s Happy Xmas will be performed as a sing-along with audience in a world premiere arrangement by Andrew Struck-Marcell.

Come lift your voice and sing — and help lift others out of hunger and despair. And isn’t that what the holidays are really about?
